AX-Transport Services installed at Air Greenland

Air Greenland has in January 2010 started using a new administrative system for transportation with helicopters in Greenland. The system, AX-Transport Services, is delivered by AX-Services.

• Much shorter time from ending transportation to invoicing the job

The AX-Transport Services solution is based on Microsoft Dynamics AX / Project management and an advanced system for mobile computing using PDA's.

20 helicopters are initially equipped with a very robust mobile phone / PDA, Motorola MC55. Later the solution has been upgraded to iPad based software allowing for easier user operation and a number of additional features.

At the PDA the pilot can see the ordered flights and register flight time, number of person and freight, fuel, write notes, etc. Also the customer may sign for the transportation.

The PDA communicates with the back-office system using a wide range of methods: Wireless LAN, Mobile data (GSM, GPRS, 3G, etc.), satellite and USB-cable.
